Statement
"I have been a resident of Brattleboro, VT for many years, but spent my early life in
Bennington, VT. My desire to paint all started when I was a teenager. I enjoyed watching the artists that gather in the summer
to paint the famous view from Powell Mountain, VT. Fortunately, for me I had a wonderful teacher and friend who encouraged
me to continue with my artwork. I find that I can spend many hours happily observing and trying to reproduce a peaceful country
scene, or a flower, or a tree. my powers of observation have become much keener and I see more detail. I have been in juried
shows and exhibited at 'Art on the Mountain' at Haystack, VT and in my commuity as well as around the state. I am a member
of the Saxon River Art Guild and I will be eighty soon and am still learning."
